Green waste is basically biodegradable waste that is composed of garden or park waste which includes grass or flower cuttings, garden trimmings, as well as commercial and domestic food wastes. It is distinct due to the fact that green waste is high in nitrogen while the brown waste is highly carbonaceous. The Green waste is usually gathered in several community curbside gathering methods or through the private waste administration supplier business and they are generally required to undergo independent suit.

If you are wondering how to dispose green trash wisely, there are certain guidelines that you should follow in order to recycle green waste properly. First, the green waste such as grass and leaves should be placed inside trash bags. These are collected and transferred to the compost facility. In the compost facility, the green wastes are screened, grinded and mixed. Once finished, the material is placed into long piles known as windrows which are transformed into compost. The moment the compost is ready, it is then used at city parks and other city facilities for the benefits it has to offer.

As for the compost generated from the green wastes, the market for compost and mulch is indeed limitless. Take note that these products greatly help in boosting the soil nutrient value, control soil erosion and helps conserve water. In areas with sandy soils and low rainfall, these products are in constantly high demand. If you have a yard, you would surely generate a number of green wastes, thus it is important that you will acquaint yourself on how to dispose green trash wisely.

You have to take note that there are certain ways to make your trash green. You can start right in your own home. By conducting a trash audit, it is a way in order to know what you are throwing out and what you can save from the trashcan. The trash audit includes simple steps – first you have to select a time period, try to involve everyone in the household, throw away stuff that you usually do, you should try to weigh your trash, put on some gloves and check items that can be recycled, composted, reused and avoided, you should be graphical by making a graph, list or chart.

When it comes to recycling green waste, you should be fully familiar with the rules and regulations. First, you should check with the local government in order to get a list of materials that you can and cannot place in your curbside bin. You should also compost your scraps. In addition, the food waste and yard trimmings combined are equivalent to 24% of the municipal solid waste stream. Half of this can be diverted and recycled by resorting to composting, thus decreasing the trash levels. If you are going to start a compost pile, it is quite easy. Take note that composting can make a big deduction to your waste and provide you with a rich product that can be used in maintaining your yard. You can even give it to your friends or sell at the local farmer’s market or the garden center.

Pollen is best described as a fine to coarse powder that contains the microgametophytes of certain seed plants, which is responsible for producing the male gametes. The pollen grains possess a hard coat that provides protection to the sperm cells during the process of their movement from the stamens up to the pistils of numerous flowering plants or from the male cone to the female cone of the coniferous plants. Once the pollen lands on a compatible pistil or a female cone, it starts to germinate and produces a pollen tube that transfers the sperm to the ovule. The individual pollen grains are relatively small enough to require magnification in order to see them in detail.

There are certain facts that you should know about pollen. You have to take note that grass, weeds and trees produce a considerable amount of pollen. The most productive producer of pollen is the ragweed. The ragweed is likely to be responsible for causing up to 75% of all the pollen allergies. The pollen sensitivity is also caused by various types of weeds, even some grass varieties such as Bermuda grass and Timothy grass as well as some weeds. People usually refer to pollen allergies as hay fever, seasonal allergic rhinitis or pollinosis.

The general symptoms of pollen allergy includes the following – stuffy and watery nose, recurring or lengthened sneezing, itchy and swelling eyes, headache and sore throat, trouble in sleeping at night due to breathing difficulty, itchy throat, mouth and nose. All these symptoms can become harsher if acquired every year by an individual. This eventually leads to persistent sinusitis, asthma, headaches or ear problems.

If you are constantly suffering from sneezing, congestion, itchy runny nose and watery eyes, you might be suffering from seasonal allergic rhinitis or also known as hay fever. It usually strikes once the pollen starts to fly out in the environment. According to CDC, approximately millions of adults and children suffer from hay fever. Luckily, there are certain steps that people with allergies can use in order to avoid pollen and what it brings.

Click here to view the embedded video.

Take note that it is not the type of pollen since grass, trees and weeds can all cause a pollen allergy. Rather, it solely depends on where an individual lives and how long the growing season there lasts. You have to remember that a longer growing season generally produces more symptoms of pollen allergy. In locations such as Georgia and California, there are fairly long growing seasons for the grass pollen. This leads to high levels of pollen present in the atmosphere, thus leads to the production of symptoms. The trees which characteristically pollinate in the springtime as well as the weeds which pollinate in the autumn season can also result to considerable harm for those with pollen allergy.

If a person is allergic to grass and will go out and mow the lawn or cutting plants, it is a must to wear to mask. In addition, it is advisable to keep the windows closed at all times at home and in the car throughout the pollen seasons. If someone has an immense contact to pollen, it is recommended to remove the garments when they enter inside the house and take a shower or clean up. It is also believed that the grass pollen intensity is likely to reach high levels during the late afternoon and during early evening. It is best for those individuals allergic to pollen to avoid any outside activities throughout those times.

Is there a way to escape from pollen? The answer is no. In some cases, others thought that moving to another part of the country can help, but in reality, it is still the same. Take note that there are certainly locations that have short-lived growing seasons than others. On the other hand, people discover that if they transfer to a different region of the country in order to flee a particular kind of pollen, they may have become more used to the pollen in the site where they moved. Moving is not the answer to escape your pollen allergies and it is not recommended since it is a drastic and life changing measure. Today, there are already treatments that are effective so that you no longer need to take a drastic step.

Pollen is difficult to avoid since during the allergy season, it is everywhere. Even if it is practical to stay inside when the pollen presence is high, the pollen can still find a way to enter indoors. There are certain steps that you can take in order to reduce your exposure to pollen and help provide relief to your pollen allergy symptoms.

First, you should avoid any outdoor activities in the morning between 5 up to 10 am. It is also best to avoid staying outside during the dry and breezy days. The ideal time to go outside is during the late afternoons or after a heavy rain. Still, it is best to go outside a little as possible. Next, after going outdoors, it is best to shower and change your clothes since the pollen tends to stick to the clothing, hair and skin. It is also advisable to wash your hair on a daily basis since pollen collects in your hair and can be easily transferred to your pillow. Next, do not forget about your pet. Take note that your pet can transport pollen into your home, so frequent bathing for your pet is a must in order to control the pollen inside the house. You can also utilize the HEPA air purifiers to remove any microscopic pollen particles from the air inside your home. It is also advisable to close up all windows and use air conditioning during the pollen season. If you are going outdoors, it is best to wear high quality protective masks. Lastly, you should vacuum on a regular basis with the use of a filtered HEPA vacuum cleaner since it effectively removes the airborne allergens.

You should take note of the following steps in order to avoid triggering your pollen allergy. Take note that transferring is not the answer, by following these simple steps; it will help provide relief to your pollen allergy.

The Huntington library California is composed of art collections and botanical gardens. The Huntington library is located in San Marino, California. It is considered as a private non-profit institution established back in 1919. If you are an art enthusiast, you would surely visit this place since it is home to a wonderful collection of fine arts as well as rare and extraordinary collection of manuscripts and books. As for the Botanical Gardens, it covers up to a hundred and fifty acres of terrain that offers the most breathtaking and picturesque setting that also includes the attractive and aromatic Rose Garden, the Japanese Garden and the Desert Garden.

If you want to have a glimpse of the artwork housed in Huntington library California, the “Blue Boy” is one of the famous art pieces that were created by Thomas Gainsborough. It is oil on canvas in Rococo Style. It is a portrayal of Master Jonathan Buttal, the son of a friend of Gainsborough who is a hardware merchant. The young boy in blue stately apparel carries a demeanor of self confidence. He looks straight at his viewers with an air of self confident brazenness and has a pompous posture with a slight clue of boyish purity. The artist skillfully depicts all the intricate details of his clothes, cuffs, collar and trousers. If you will look closely, there is an almost flawless reproduction of the fabric flow. He wears stockings on his feet and his shoes are adorned with satin bows that provide an air of a gentleman of fine stature. As for the facial features, there is a soft tonal quality and a haunting reproduction of his eyes. His hair is depicted with a soft and baby like texture, which draws attention to his youthfulness. This painting clearly portrays a graceful, cheerful and light appearance. There is harmony in the description of the young boy, who is set against a haunting background of greenery and vast gray skies. It shows grace, elegance and decorum, the very essence of charm.

Oil on canvas painting, the “View on the Stour near Dedham” which was created by John Constable in 1822 clearly shows a male dominated scene. It is a late realist art piece. In the painting, some of the men are engaged in the daily activity of fishing while a lady looks on from afar while standing all alone on a bridge. The creator of this painting is very skillful in capturing the beauty of nature as well as the details of the landscapes. The characteristic of Constable’s style shows a facet of harmony of all the elements such as the water, earth and the sky. He is exceptional with the use of color, blending, tones, lighting and shadows. He skillfully contrasts the greenness of the trees with the shrubbery together with the white and blue cloudy skies. The characters seem frozen in time and lack the photo realism of some works in contemporary era.

The “Young Knitter Asleep”, oil on canvas by Jean Baptiste Greuze was completed back in 1755. In this painting, it portrays a young lady who falls asleep while in the process of knitting a straw basket that is draped over her arm while the fabric is placed on her lap. The young lady shows a peaceful, serene and satisfied look of slumber. Her rose-colored cheeks with miniature yet well defined hands and baby like characteristics have the distinct quality of realness. The creator truly captured the folds and fall of the fabric. The young lady has an almost youthful appearance that is accompanied by innocence and child-like contentment. She bears a white cap with a blue ribbon together with a blue colored frock with banded collar. The attention of viewers is effectively drawn towards the young lady by means of a rather gloomy backdrop which diverts our attention to her. The skill of the artist to recreate fabric, its vivid color and shimmering appearance is expertly done.

Now we will shift to the Botanical Gardens which is a wonderful landscape that offers intriguing pieces of sculpture that is present all over the acres. If you will visit the gardens, you will surely be overwhelmed by the beauty and sweet fragrance coming from the Rose Garden. The Japanese Garden houses the water lilies, spectacular Koi fishes and the Dry Garden. The Bonsai trees of the Japanese Garden are considered as wonderful works of nature which was incorporated with human ingenuity. As for the Desert Gardens, it offers a wide variety of cacti while the Tropical Gardens offers a wide range of lush shrubs, trees and vines. All these gardens are a sight to behold.

The Huntington library California also offers a unique collection of antique room settings, archaic furniture and Chippendale room style. The intricate carvings on the wall, floral patterns, ornate architectural design, magnificent columns, winding staircase and draperies provided the building with an elegant and palatial appearance.

You will also be delighted to see numerous pieces of sculpture, gothic and mythological figures and medieval statues placed all over the grounds. The building is also adorned with beautiful fountains that grace the courtyards while the well maintained lawn is home to numerous flowerbeds that adds color and sweet smell to the place.

If you will visit the Huntington library California, it is a new door of discovery due to the variety of information it has to offer. A daylong visit at the Huntington library California will definitely be an informative and unforgettable experience for anyone. With the presence of the original manuscripts by Whitman and Shakespeare as well as the Gutenberg Bible, it is indeed a must see place for anyone who is interested with fine arts as well as other sights it has to offer. With the wide variety of literary, artistic, architectural and sculptural collections will surely overwhelm the first time visitors. You will surely be impressed with the pieces of art in the Modernist category while the surroundings and the nature trail are worth seeing. If you want to retreat from the hectic and stressful life, it is time to unwind and relax as well as enjoy the sights offered in Huntington library California.

If you have plans to visit Beijing, you should definitely visit the well known Beijing gardens. It is a wonderful place that offers a mix of new and the old scenery. If you really want a memorable vacation in Beijing, you might as well visit all the famous tourist spots and other places worth visiting; remember to stop by at any of the Beijing gardens. There are three gardens worth visiting, the Butterfly Garden, Summer Palace and the Behai Park.

One famous Beijing garden is the popular Butterfly Garden. This is the ideal place to visit if you love nature and would love to see all the butterflies present in the garden. The Butterfly Garden is situated in the Shunyi District, between the crossing point of Baima road and Huosi road. This garden is considered as the largest garden in Asia that offers a wide variety of butterflies.

If you are planning to visit the Butterfly Garden, the best time to visit is during the months of April to October since hundreds of butterflies hover around the garden at during these months.

The Butterfly Garden is the only garden where visitors can see different kinds of butterflies but also enjoy the wonderful view of a wide selection of flowers and plants that are also cultivated within the garden. The entire span of the garden is over 600 square meters. It is divided into four areas and in every area there are around 500,000 species of butterflies being displayed. You can view butterflies from the tropical and subtropical regions in the four season glasshouse. The breeding workhouse is the best place to visit if you want to witness how the chrysalises transform into butterflies. Some visitors who live in the temperate regions might seldom witness or catch a glimpse of the tropical butterflies, but with the Butterfly Garden, it showcases all the tropical and subtropical butterfly species. This greatly attracts visitors from all over the world, just to see the various butterfly species. There are over 30 butterfly breeds present in the Butterfly Garden. Ten breeds are considered as state protected species. The garden also organizes educational tours for students; they can participate and learn about the various butterfly species from close view.

For the children, the Butterfly Garden provides interactive zones where they can play with the butterflies. They also have art sessions where they can make paintings of butterfly wings.

There is also a note worthy section that you should never miss out during your visit, it is the butterfly wing exhibit. In this section, the wings of the deceased butterflies are used in order to create beautiful butterfly wing pictures that are worth seeing. The garden also offers a perfect setting that can be used by photographers in order to get a good photo from the butterflies. If you want to learn about butterflies and nature or just to get a glimpse of various butterfly species, you should visit the Butterfly Garden, a Beijing garden worth visiting.

The next Beijing garden that you should visit is the Summer Palace. It is also called the Yihe Yuan, which simply means the gardens of nurtured harmony. As a description, the Summer Palace is not actually a palace; it is an imperial garden and lake, the lake is known as Kunming Lake. The Summer Palace covers around 2.2 square kilometers. The remaining area is made up of the Chinese gardens, palace of the imperial family as well as the temples. Summer Palace is situated 15 kilometers northwest of Beijing’s city center. It has splendid gardens, classic architecture and the idyllic scenery that is worth visiting. If you are going to visit the Summer Palace, you can ride the buses that will take you there; all you have to do is to ride the bus that goes to Yiheyuan.

Next Beijing garden that you should never miss out is the Beihai Park. As an overview, it is an ancient imperial garden next to the Forbidden City. It has a history that span for thousands of years. Beihai Park is considered as the oldest classical garden, the largest and the well preserved in China. It has ancient Buddhist temples, classical gardens, a large lake, imperial palaces and walled cities. Beihai Park is one of the major tourist spots in Beijing that you should definitely check out.

The area covered by Beihai Park spans over 70 hectares and half of this area is covered by the Beihai Lake. In the middle of the lake, there is a huge island known as the Jade Flowery Islet. It is made up of several of the park’s main attractions. Beihai Park has at least 30 major sites that you can visit, but only the major ones will be discussed.

The Yongan Temple or also called as the Temple of Eternal Peace is located on the Jade Flowery Islet. It dominates the park’s skyline and it is the main site in the park the holds the White Dagoba, the symbol of Beihai Park. This temple was built in 1651 by the first emperor of the Qing dynasty. The temple as three levels, the first level is composed of three buildings such as the Bell Tower, the Drum Tower and the Falundian. The second level is the courtyard on top of a flight of stairs. The courtyard is surrounded by buildings. The third level is a platform on top of the hill that holds the White Dagoba or also called the White Pagoda. The other major sites include the Tiancheng City, Nine Dragon Wall and the ancient caves of the Jade Islet.

You can reach Beihai Park by riding the subway to the Tiananmen Square west station. You will exit on one of the stations on the northern exit next to the Nanchang Street. The Nanchang Street follows along a moat that lead to the west side of the Forbidden City, eventually straight to the southern exit of Beihai Park.

If you are visiting Beijing for a vacation, you might as well visit the three Beijing gardens mentioned above. They are worthy to be visited and will definitely make your vacation a memorable one.
